still thinking about beauty-
how to be beautiful as a woman

on mother's day a woman said to me that all women are mothers because we all nurture and create

i thought this was hopeful and helpful

for myself- i have taken quite a bit of pride in the growth of my garden that i have nurtured
and i do long to create beautiful things-

i long to create and have started to create...
a culture of food that has roots in time and place
family culture tied to seasons of the year
and every once in a while long to create a child

i want to be finished struggling with myself-
struggling to be something i am not
to perform to others

i want to understand who i am
weaknesses and strengths
who i am in relationship to God- Sam and community

maybe this acceptance of woman- acceptance of roots- acceptance of time and place is fundamental in understanding me as i relate to who God made me
